By combining all the skills that we had learnt during the fashion and textiles week, My group decided to use something that really stood out to us this week which was the amount of black ink, found materials, and silhouettes we utilized in our work. The first idea came from the Balenciaga’s bold shapes dress, which we all saw at the exhibition, decided to use i.e. as fundament and create an unconventional silhouette gown made from black trash bags which are ripped, bags filled with air, and bags folded to create a headpiece. As a result, the final piece created a flowy gothic unconventional yet satisfyingly glamorous trash queen dress and it began to be more in style of Alexander Mcqueen, whom I was also inspired and I offered to make a fashion photoshoot in the court yard. I remembered immediately the Mcqueen's show F/W (2009) 'The Horn of Plenty ' and tried to make a fashion film in it's mood. The film worked out very expressive with a deep meaning of the daily objects, which are essentially the trash. I feel that our idea was communicated successfully through the movement and location of the film. I feel that if we had more time we could have made story telling the idea through the film.

 I really enjoyed fashion communication as I liked communicating my ideas across through film, photography and styling. I also liked helping to direct the film and communicate my ideas across in a visual way. This has made me consider taking fashion communication as my specialist pathway.
